Steve has over 40 years’ experience in the Energy Industry, most of which was spent in senior HR roles in drilling contractors with Santa Fe, GlobalSantaFe, Precision Drilling and Weatherford Drilling International.

He then spent 10 years managing manpower companies providing personnel to the energy industry, latterly as Operations Director for Connect Energy Services. He is a past Chairman of both the North Sea Chapter IADC HR Working Party and the UKDCA.

He remains active within IADC and is currently Treasurer of the Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter and an active member of the HR and Mental Health Workgroups. Steve has been a Director/ Owner of IAS International since 2018.

Mike Simpson has worked in the oil & gas industry for over 40 years.

He is currently the principal owner of the Cansco group of companies. He is an Engineering Technologist who combines extensive experience managing international drilling operations, engineering and equipment manufacturing teams with the proven ability to create and adapt new technology applications.
